Dear Colleague,

The Union of European Phoniatricians (UEP) and the European Academy of Phoniatrics (EAP) recognizes the continued and growing concern of the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Almost all European countries close their boarders and insert travel restrictions. Many of our faculty members have to stand-by and are prohibited to leave their working place.
As the health, safety and well-being of our members, attendees and faculty are of paramount importance, the UEP & EAP is enforced to adjust the Advanced Course on Dysphagia which is scheduled from April 30th – May 3rd 2020 in Bruges, Belgium.

However, committed to our members and especially to those who already subscribed, the board decided not to cancel this exquisite event. The course will only be delayed -> towards December 3rd- 6th, 2020. Bruges is perhaps even more beautiful in wintertime! Except from the date shift nothing changes. The regular rate is prolonged until October, 31st, 2020. From November 1st, 2020, the late registration fee will be applied.

For the time being, our thoughts are with all those who have been affected by this terrible virus. Looking very much forward to seeing you in Belgium, now more than ever!

On behalf of the entire UEP/EAP board

Advanced course on Dysphagia

Dear Colleague,

After a very pleasant and fruitful 5th course in Zagreb, Croatia, we are pleased to welcome you to the 6th course of the European Academy of Phoniatrics: “Advanced course on dysphagia” in Bruges, Belgium. Bruges is a fairy-tale beauty, especially at spring time when the swans bob up and down the canals and the daffodils accentuate the romantic atmosphere. Bruges has become a favorite touristic attraction, not only during the holiday of May 1st. And how wonderful it is to be welcomed in the medieval city hall, by the alderman of culture!

The Course comprises all aspects of dysphagia, from screening over diagnosis to therapy and from neonates over children to elderly. The highly esteemed faculty addresses all subjects in depth and is open for questions or debate during the entire course. An amiable and relaxed atmosphere is a characteristic of the EAP/UEP.

Looking forward to having a good time in Bruges with YOU!
